This past Monday I decided to visit Disneyland to renew my annual pass. Yes, that’s how much I love Disneyland. I go whenever I get a chance. And I want to thank my special fan who made sure I can do just that by taking care of the pass price.
The first person I saw when I walked in was Snow White, looking as lovely as ever, LOL. Some of the rides I went on were Space Mountain, The Matterhorn, Alice is Wonderland, It’s Small World, The Mad Tea Party tea cups, The Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. I usually hit up all the Fantasyland rides, but this time I just wondered around.
One cool thing was that Disneyland had already begun celebrating the upcoming spooky season and had a Halloween Carnival. That was a lot of fun to hang out, take pictures. As a matter of fact, Here are the pictures I took from my day out. Hope you enjoy them!
I'm back with another POP! vinyl review. This time we are going to look at a special one; the 9-inch Mickey Mouse from the Disney series. These 9 inch figures are limited edition collector pieces that Funko, the makers of POP!s, produce. Ordinarily, POP! vinyl figures are under 4 inches tall, but this one is more than twice that size.
Mickey Mouse is one of my favourite characters. I love Disney and everyone who knows me, knows that. So it's not surprise that with great glee I am unboxing and reviewing this vinyl figure. Have a look and let me know what you think!
I am always unboxing and reviewing Funko POP! vinyl figures so feel free to make some suggestions on who you want to see next or how we can improve the videos!
Here is a new video for you to watch. I am a collector of Vinylmation figures, but my collection is not as extensive as my guest for this video, Phil! He is a Vinylmation connoisseur.
In this video we review the recently released Robots 3 series. It's a fun set of 12 that features a lot of the classic Disney as robots. So lets have a look, shall we?
What do you think? Are you going to be collecting these Vinylmation figures? Would you like to see me review more sets? LMK by leaving a comment below or on youtube!
Well, tomorrow I have something special! Yes, I'm back on posting Tuesday videos, but aside from that I will be taking a look at the new Vinylmation series from Disney - Robots 3! Not only will we check out all 12 of the figures in this hot new series, but I will be joined by Vinylmation expert Phil! So, please check back tomorrow! In the meantime, you can have a look at all my other videos right here on my youtube page.
LOL, hello my heroes!
Funko has announced their exclusive Disney San Diego Comic Con exclusives and oh my, I need to get ahold of these!
As you may already know, I am not going to be able to make it to SDCC this year due to a conflicting engagement. Okay. Then, when Funko announced their exclusives I almost had a heart attack. Usually I am not one to get excited over exclusives, but these are just awesome.
Want to have a look at these? Okay...
This past weekend I had an opportunity to preview the new Cars Land at Disneyland California Adventure. It doesn't actually open until June 15th but as an Annual Passholder I was treated experience the rides early. I am a huge DIsney fan, so as you can imagine I was very excited about going and I had a blast!
Cars Land is very big and and is an incredible recreation, it looks just like the main street from the movie. I was really surprised how well it was done. The ambiance exciting and I really did feel like I was in a whole new land.
I went on two of the new rides; Luigi's Flying Tires and Radiator Springs Racers. When I first arrived I went straight for Radiator Springs Racers. That one looked like it would be fun. Upon seeing it in person, I was amazed at the scope of it. It looks very grand. And the ride itself was brilliant. I had so much fun on it that I went on it a few times.
You start off by going through the town of Radiator Springs, cruising through the town, then you end up at a race and that's when the ride goes into over drive and you are racing across the dessert. I think people are going to be thrilled with this ride. It really is that good.
Luigi's Flying Tires, I wasn't so impressed with. For my comments on that, you'll have to see the video. LOL, It was ok, but coming off of Radiator Springs Racers...it's just doesn't leave a lasting impact. Like I wrote, it was "ok" but I wouldn't be in a rush to go back on it.
Cars Land looks amazing and I had a blast on Radiator Springs Racers. Have a look at some of the pics I took and as I mentioned I also shot some video, which I'll be uploading on Friday so you'll get a chance to see my little adventure while I was there.
Does Cars Land look interesting to you? Let me know by leaving a comment below, or by sending me a tweet (@TanyaTate) And don't forget to keep an eye out for my video of Cars Land!
Also, here is another video of a ride I had the opportunity to preview recently: Transformers The Ride 3D at Universal Studios! Enjoy!
If you follow me on twitter, you probably saw my tweet from Disneyland California Adventure this past weekend. I was there previewing the new Cars Land rides. I'll post some pictures and videos from my experience throughout the week on this blog, but in the meantime I'll share a few pictures of some of the cool Vinylmation figures I picked up while there.
Hello! I would like to welcome PHIL! who will be doing occasional guest blogs about the news in Disney Vinylmation!
The newest Vinylmation Urban series just hit the Disney Store shelves last Friday. The series features some really cool designs by artists like Thomas Scott, Maria Clapsis, Casey Jones, and Billy Davis.
Let’s cut to the chaser. “Funhouse Mickey”. I was not too excited about this one at first. Usually, I’m all for Mickey vinyls. But this one is really funny to look at, which I guess is the point. Once I got the concept for the long-necked figure, it made more sense. It grew on me.
Everyone is always after the chaser, right? Well, not in this “case”. There are 2 variants in this series. A Golden Dragon and a Shaved Sheep. They are HOT! These are the one’s that Vinylmation folks are after. I’ve heard that there are two to a case. Either two Shaved Sheep's or two Gold Dragons (not mixed). But who really knows? I’ve also heard that some cases don’t have any variants at all. What I do know is that the “variants” are the ones to chase. So, head to your local Disney Store and go for the GOLD! Or naked Sheep... either one is awesome.
So my Disney Vinylmation collection has been growing. And one aspect of collecting Vinylmation is the trading. Collectors of these figures trade. So, to fully immerse myself in the scene, I had to join in this activity.
Friday I went to my first trading night at Disneyland! It was mostly geared toward pin traders, I am not much in to that though. I popped by for a bit to see what was going on in the Vinylmation scene.
I have to admit I did not have much to trade, I usually only buy what I like. But I did have a few extra figures that I could part with. Thankfully, LOL! I saw loads of the Disney figures that I needed to add to my collection!
When I arrived at Paradise Pier I was already late to the event. It started at 7pm and I got there at around 9pm. I was a bit taken aback by how many people were there, I really did not know what to expect, but there were a lot people! It was packed.
Virtually all of the people there were extremely cool and being new to trading, they helped me out.
Here are some pics...
