Panel celebrating women of all sizes to take place at San Diego Comic Con!
There are a lot of exciting panels going on at SDCC, but one that really caught my eye was the All Shapes And Sizes Welcome panel happening Thursday night, July 9th at 7:00pm. It’s happening in Room 14A and will feature geek entertainment personalities discussing their stories of personal growth. Have a look at the information:
For years, society has defined the worth of women by their body types. Too tall, too short, too tan, too old, or that terrible phrase “too fat” have been the words on the lips of some, in the film industry, that have started women on their journey to self loathing.
In 2013, actress/producer Leah Cevoli(Robot Chicken, Deadwood), founded the panel in order to pave the road of self-love and empowerment. The panelists, crafted from actresses, models, writers, cosplayers, musicians, comic book writers and publishers, magazine editors, photographers, entrepreneurs, and more, share their personal struggles with body image and discrimination, and finding their way to acceptance.
Scheduled to take part of the panel are Miracle Laurie (Dollhouse), Helenna Santos (Founder/CEO, MsInTheBiz.com), Sherry Lee Meredith (Host & CEO Go Curvy Tv & Studios), Asha Dahya (Host/Editor-in-Chief, GirlTalkHQ.com), Malia Miglino (Macabre Mondays, Love or War), Dani Dixon (TumbleCreek Press, Five Nations) with moderation by founder of All Shapes and Sizes Welcome, Leah Cevoli.
I’m glad to see such a positive panel taking place. I totally support this. Be sure to add this to your list of panels to check out at SDCC.
