JUSTA LOTTA Cool Comic Book Covers - Top 5 Covers For August 28th, 2013

@TanyaTate, Collectible, Cool Comic Book Covers, Entertainment, Fandom, Fangirl, JustaLottaTanya, Marvel Comics, Sexy, Sexy Geek Girl, Superheroes, Tanya Tate, Top 5, Zenescope, Grimm Fairy Tales, Avengers Arena, Marvel Comics, Vampirella, Dynamite, Steed And Mrs Peel, Boom, No Tomorrow

Hello Heroes!

Here we are again! It’s another Wednesday which means... New Comics Day! Once a week, I take a look at the new releases and choose 5 comic book covers that I really like. They can be sexy, shocking or just really cool. So, with that in mind, let’s have a look at this week’s covers, shall we?

Grimm Fairy Tales No Tomorrow #1 (of 5) (Cover A - Krome)

From Zenescope Comics - Cover Artist Mike Krome

Zenescope never ceases to amaze me with their impressive covers each week. This week is no different. Mike Krome does some brilliant work with the cover of No Tomorrow #1. Very dark, yet sexy. Something I really look forward to picking up.

Synopsis: In the not so far off future, the battle between the forces of good and evil for control of the nexus has finally come to an end... but this uneasy peace is not meant to last.  A new horror is born into the Grimm Universe more terrifying than any before.  A horror whose name is spoken in hushed and fearful whispers.  A horror more beautiful than the breath we breathe but as deadly as our last and final gasp: Keres, the Goddess of the Death!

Steed And Mrs Peel Ongoing #11

From Boom! Comics - Cover Artist Dan Davis

What is this? The FINAL issue of The Avengers? err...I mean Steed and Mrs. Peel, LOL. Don’t forget, in my country these ARE The Avengers. Anyway, I love Emma Peel and it looks like she is in danger. Have to see what’s going on in this issue.

Synopsis: FINAL ISSUE! Never so close to revenge... John Cartney has come tantalizingly close to defeating John Steed and Emma Peel before but now with the Cybernauts at his side, his plans may finally come to fruition. The devastating battle concludes in this can't miss finale!

Vampirella #33 (Parrillo Cover)

From Dynamic Comics - Cover Artist Lucio Parrillo

Beautiful cover by Lucio Parrillo! What’s going on here? Looks like a party that I have been to before, LOL. When have magic, a scantily clad Vampy and some little demon looking fellow. Whoa. I want to know what’s going on here, don’t you?

Synopsis: On the island of Cote de Soleil, an old, dead evil has returned to reclaim long-lost power...and that's not the only sinister thing slithering around. Transformation is the name of the game when Vampirella and voodoo have a rumble in the jungle!

Avengers Arena #14

From Marvel Comics - Cover Artist Mike Deodato

X-23 looks like she is ready for battle in this cover by Mike Deodato. She has always been a force to reckoned with but she looks even more deadly. Bonus points for the homage to Wolverine #1.

Synopsis: It begins here, the last story arc of Season One! The contestants have fought one another, now can they put aside their feuds and battle Arcade?

Grimm Fairy Tales 2013 Special Ed (unleashed Pt5) (Cover B - Laiso)

From Zenescope Comics - Cover Artist Emilio Laiso

Powerful and sexy cover from Emilio Laiso! Sela looks incredibly awesome as she is about to kick some ass. Great cover!

Synopsis: Everything has been building toward this! Sela and the hunters make their last stand against the Being as night falls across Earth. Who will betray Sela? Who will die on the battlefield? As the Being's plan comes to fruition, nothing will ever be the same again. Don't miss the issue that changes the Grimm Universe... forever!

JUSTA LOTTA Cool Comic Book Covers - Top 5 Covers For August 21st, 2013

@TanyaTate, Collectible, Cool Comic Book Covers, Entertainment, Fandom, Fangirl, JustaLottaTanya, Marvel Comics, Sexy, Sexy Geek Girl, Superheroes, Tanya Tate, Top 5, Zenescope, Grimm Fairy Tales, DC Comics, Dynamite, He Man And The Masters Of The Universe, Wonder Woman, Dark Shadows Year One, Dynamite, Oz

Hello heroes!
I am back again with my top five comic book covers of the week! Well, what do you know...I might actually start a streak of getting these done weekly again, LOL. In case you are new here, every week on New Comic Wednesday I choose five comic book covers that grab my attention. They may be sexy, scary, shocking or exciting. Mostly, sexy. LOL

I have looked at the new releases and chosen my five for this week. So, let’s have a look, shall we? Also, if you would like to buy the comics, just click on the image and it will take you an online store.

HE MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE 5
He Man And The Masters Of The Universe #5 - Dc Comics
Cover By Ed Benes

Oh yes, She-Ra cover! Now, you know that she is one of my favorite characters to cosplay as. As a matter of fact, I will be cosplaying as She-ra at the upcoming Power-con convention next month. That aside, have a look at this cover. It looks like our hero is in trouble as Shadow Weaver is all over her! That is an awesome She-Ra as well.

Synopsis: Despara's origin revealed! Plus, Hordak tells a shocking story that will change her world forever!

Wonder Woman #23

Cover By Cliff Chiang

Oh, here we go! Everyone’s favourite bad ass Amazon looks like she’s out for blood on this cover. The new 52 wonder woman is one tough gal. I am really liking what they are doing with her. Now, if we could only get a proper movie version.

Synopsis: Wonder Woman had no choice but to abandon London to the bloodthirsty First Born-but now it's time to take the city back! If Diana is truly War's greatest student, then now is the time to prove it!

Dark Shadows Year One #5

Cover By Patrick Berkenkotter

Brilliant cover. I love Dark Shadows. It has that Hammer horror flavor that I really enjoy. This cover feels so retro, yet so scary. I really like this one. Side note: I have every episode of Dark Shadows on DVD. True story.

Synopsis: Joshua Collins, desperate to save his son Barnabas' soul from vampiric damnation, seeks out help -- any help --- from the unlikeliest of places: a witch?! can Barnabas be reclaimed from an unlife of bloodsucking? or will Angelique's prophecy that Barnabas would watch everyone he loves suffer and die come true?

Grimm Fairy Tales Oz #2 (of 6) (Cover C - Ortiz)

Cover By Richard Ortiz

Want to know what my next cosplay costume is? LOL I’m only kidding, but could you imagine me wearing this sexy “Good Witch” costume around San Diego Comic Con? You never know I just might. Anyway, another incredible cover from Zenescope, this time it’s from Richard Ortiz. Very epic, this one. I hear Oz is an incredible seller and you can see why.

Synopsis: Trapped in Oz and hunted by the armies of the fallen Wicked Witch of the East, Dorothy finds allies in Glinda, the good witch of Oz, and the lion named Thorne. Together they embark on a quest for the veridian scepter, an artifact that can both free Oz from the tyranny of the Wicked Witch, and also send Dorothy home. All that stands in their way is the Wicked Witch of the West and her army of deadly warriors, flying monkeys and demon dogs.

Grimm Fairy Tales #88 (Cover B - Nunes)

Cover By Ivan Nunes

Contrasting the heroically light tone of theOz cover is this villainously dark one from Grimm Fairy Tales #88 by Ivan Nunes. This is just beautiful. So hot, so sexy so deliciously evil. No wonder everyone loves the bad girls. The Dark Queen can conquer me anytime she wants, LOL. However, from personal experience, I know it’s very hard to get anything done while trying to keep your boobs inside your top. So I wonder how she does it while trying to take over the world. Some kind of magic.

Synopsis: The Dark Queen has risen from the dead, but something has gone wrong. What monstrosity has the Dark One released onto the world, and can it be controlled? As the Dark One and his horde contend with her, Sela learns something disturbing about Warren. What chilling secret has her new boyfriend been hiding? Find out in the series that started it all - Grimm Fairy Tales!

There you go. Those are my top five, book covers of the week. Do you agree or disagree. Let me know what you think, what covers you suggest or what you are buying this week by leaving a comment below.

Until next time,

Then, I share them with you and tell you why they have me all excited. The covers may be sexy, shocking or jaw-dropping, but always exciting. So let’s have a look at this weeks top five comic book covers.

Doctor Who Vol 3 12
Doctor Who #12 - IDW Publishing
Jenna Coleman! Really, does any more need to be said. You put her on the cover of anything and I get excited. Love, love, love this girl.

VAMPIRELLA SOUTHERN GOTHIC 1

Vampirella Southern Gothic #1 - Dynamite Entertainment
Love these photo covers. This goes back to my love of cosplay and live action superheroes. Seeing people in these costumes is just awesome. Even more so when it is a sexy model like Kitana Baker. I’d love to see her in person cosplaying as Vampirella.

Synopsis: She's fought vampires, aliens, magicians and monsters. . .but can she survive MISSISSIPPI!? While aching from a glowing wound made by a demon's blue blade, Vampi heads to the Deep South to unravel a mystical mystery tied up in an old flame, religion, and lots and lots and lots of blood. BATTLESTAR GALACTICA 3
Battlestar Galactica #3 - Dynamite Entertainment
Cover by Alex Ross

This is so damn cool. A Battlestar Galactica homage to Star Wars. Lovely. I may mot be the biggest fans of either franchise, but I do love a good mash-up. And by Alex Ross? Whoa.

Synopsis: Apollo and Starbuck faces perils on their own!  While Starbuck teams with a strangely familiar acquaintance, Apollo joins in humanity's last effort to overthrow the decades-old tyranny.  Behold, the consequences of a reality where the Battlestar Galactica never existed, as the all-conquering Cylon Empire grinds humanity to dust!

WORLDS FINEST 15
Worlds Finest #15 - DC Comics
Cover by Emanuela Lupacchino
Power Girl. More please. She’s such a bad ass.

Synopsis: Power Girl and Huntress find that a major player from Apokolips is stuck on Earth just like they are! How will their next move affect Earth 2?

GFT WONDERLAND 13
Grimm Fairy Tales Wonderland #13 - Zenescope Entertainment
Cover by Franchesco

The hardest part about choosing only 5 covers, is deciding which Zenescope cover I pick! This list can easily all Zenescope, but I’m trying to limit myself, LOL. This week is Wonderland. It’s sexy while beautiful, it would make an awesome poster. Brilliant work by Franchesco.

Synopsis: THE CANNOT MISS WONDERLAND ISSUE OF THE YEAR IS here! Who is the LORY and how does her mysterious past tie to that of Violet, Calie and her mother, Alice. The answers will send shock waves across the Wonderland universe like never before as a specter from the Liddle family's past comes back to haunt their future. Elsewhere, a bus driver comes face to face with Wonderland on a ride he will never forget.  Don't miss out on this stand alone issue that serves as a great jumping on point for new readers!

This year they had so many Comic Con exclusives, which we talk about in the video, and fans had a brilliant time collecting them all.

People love Funko, and so do I! Take a look at the video and let me know what you think by leaving a comment below. And stay tuned for more Funko POP! video reviews to come...

Hello Heroes!

New comics day ALREADY!?! Wow the week went by fast. Every week I take a look at what new comic books are coming out and choose my top 5 covers of the week. These are covers that catch my eye, and make me want to pick these issues up. They could be books I read on the regular  or titles I have never heard of but want to check out.

So let’s have a look at Tanya Tate’s Top 5 Comic Book Covers of the Week for August 7th!

AME COMI GIRLS 06
AME COMI GIRLS #6 - DC Comics
Cover by Jonboy Meyers

Love, love, love the Ame-Comi heroes. I actually have several of these figures in my collection. This stylistic version of the DC Superheroes is so much fun. Even better is that the universe that these heroes reside in skews from the regular DCU so anything can happen. Really, pick-up an issue.

Synopsis: "Earth In Crisis" heralds the beginning of the end of the world as the girls are whisked away to the planet Rann. There they are greeted by Adam Strange and Hawkgirl and told of the imminent threat of the evil Sinestra. It's not just Rann in danger, but the universe itself!

GFT WONDERLAND DOWN RABBIT HOLE 3 (OF 5)
GFT WONDERLAND DOWN RABBIT HOLE #3 (OF 5) - Zenescope Comics
Cover by Dawn McTeigue

What would my weekly top 5 list be without some Zenescope? This week is no exception as Grimm Fairy Tales: Wonderland Down Rabbit Hole #3 is released. This cover is incredible. We have Alice and Calie on opposite sides of the looking glass with things spinning out of control in the background. Very sexy, very cool.

Synopsis: After a year of being a patient at the Appleton Mental Ward, Alice Liddle finds herself home with the family she adores and loves.  But the home she returns to is much different than the home she left.  The emotional dead zone between her and husband continues to grow.  Johnny's behavior is becoming increasingly odd and disturbing, and Calie has begun going to great lengths to insure that she becomes nothing like her mother.  But even that pales in comparison as Alice comes to realize that the madness of Wonderland has begun to creep into this world intent on taking her family for its own heinous designs...and Alice is the only one who can see it coming. Forget everything you thought you knew and see how deep the rabbit hole goes in this psychological horror series by writers Pat Shand (Unleashed/Robyn Hood) and Raven Gregory (Wonderland/Fly).

LADY RAWHIDE 1 (OF 5)
LADY RAWHIDE #1 (OF 5) - Dynamite Comics
Cover by Joseph Michael Linsner

What’s going on here! Lady Rawhide is hot! I’ve worn a costume like this and I can just say fighting the forces of evil while keeping your boobs in is a special challenge all in itself. That aside, I really like this cover.

Synopsis: Lady Rawhide returns in an all-new adventure! This time, she faces not only the corrupt forces of the government -- bent on cowing the populace through privation and cruelty -- but also a new team of vigilantes: The Sisters of the White Rose. The Sisters, inspired by Lady Rawhide's actions, have taken up the struggle against tyranny. Although she supports the Sisters' aims, Lady Rawhide is forced to stand against their bloody methods

VAMPIRELLA 31
VAMPIRELLA #31 - Dynamite Comics
Cover by Fabiano Neves & Various

Oh, here we go. The super sexy queen vamp is back. Love this style, blood and boobs, reminds me of the Hammer Horror movies. So cool.

Synopsis: It's been said that you should never know your own future...but what if you do? Decisions will be made, fates will be met, and a kingdom will rise! But will Vampirella have the strength to bear the painful price of victory?

KICK-ASS 3 02 (OF 8)
KICK-ASS 3 #2 (OF 8) - Marvel Comics
Cover by John Romita Jr.

What’s this? Not a semi-clad hottie on the cover of this comic? Well, this book is really on my list. It’s Kick-Ass 3 issue 2. So excited about the new Kick-Ass movie and trying so hard not to read this series until AFTER I’ve seen the movie, BUT I might sneak a peek! Love Kick-Ass and need to get this issue!

Synopsis: Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown...and that goes double for the cowl! Kick-Ass is now leading the reformed superhero team Justice Forever...just in time to face some terrifying new foes. But there's dissension in the JF ranks; will he be able to fend off a coup with Hit-Girl still in prison? Meanwhile, a broken Red Mist gets some tough love from Mommie Dearest.

There you go, these are the comics that caught my eye this week. Loads of good stuff here, so if you find yourself at your local comic book shop try one of these titles. CAPTAIN MARVEL 14 Marvel Comics
CAPTAIN MARVEL #14 - Marvel Comics

Yeah! One of my favourite characters in the Marvel Universe! What I like about this cover is that you can see the evolution of Carol Danvers. Her original 70’s costume, the famous black one and her current incarnation. Captain Marvel is awesome.

Synopsis: Part 5 of 5 of THE ENEMY WITHIN. The conclusion of the harrowing five-part Captain Marvel/Avengers Assemble event is here! Captain Marvel will end Magnitron's reign, no matter what it takes. No. Matter. What. It's a deadly fight to the finish!

When I look at covers I especially look at books I that I am familiar. I want something that is going to pique my interest and possibly yours as well. This Executive Assistant Assassins is a book I want to know more about it. Especially looking as this cover. It looks like there is going to be some serious action going on here. I especially want to see

Synopsis: Daisy learns what it's like to for once live free of the shadows of her menacing-and deadly-father, while living with her savior and lover, Shen. But, the darkness of her past cannot be so easily dismissed, as Franklin's "employees" manage to track them down, forcing their exodus from the United States. And Daisy's new home will prove far more shocking than she anticipated, as her life reaches a deadly precipice even Shen may not be able to save her from!

GFT GRIMM UNIVERSE 5 Zenescope Comics

Synopsis: The mysterious origin of THE BEING is finally revealed! As Sela and the Hunters race toward the Being's location, a collective of ancient entities known as the Keepers descend on Earth. Oh. my. This cover will get heart pumping. Something sinister is happening here and I want to see what’s going on.  I need to get my hands on this book, it looks like it’ll be a lot of fun.

Well there you go. These are what caught my attention this week. I’m really looking forward to Captain Marvel and Grimm Universe. Tarot and Executive Assistant Assassins look really cool as well.
