I just found out that actor Jim Kelly has passed away. You may know him from his movies like Enter The Dragon or from his martial arts. I met him when had been signing at the Pop Con LA expo in 2012. He was a really nice guy and even took a moment to pose with me in some mock fighting pictures. It’s a shame about his passing. Very cool guy

Twitter can be a funny thing, especially for me since I randomly tweet about things that pop into my head.
So after watching some Doctor Who, I tweeted about star Jenna Louise Coleman...
“I would like Jenna-Louise Coleman in my #Tardis. #Justsayin”
One of my followers picked up on it and tweeted:

What’s going on this week? Well, Comic Con is getting closer and I am dead excited about it. It’s probably all I’ll be talking about the next few weeks, but I’m sure most of you will have that on your mind as well. To sort of sidetrack for the time being, how about we take a look at my top 5 comic book covers of the week for today June 26th!
Every week I present my choices of the top 5 cover that I like or grab my attention and share them with you. So let’s have a look at my picks for this week.
Catwoman #21 - DC Comics
Cover by Terry Dodson & Rachel Dodson
Selena Kyle is such a bad ass! What I love about this cover from Terry Dodson is even though she may get in some tough fights, Catwoman always (mostly) comes out on top. The Penguin gets a first hand lesson in issue 21.
Synopsis: Following the events of the CATWOMAN ANNUAL, Catwoman and the Penguin declare war on each other—and Gotham City is set to burn in their wake!
Jirni #3 - Aspen
Cover by Eric Basaldua
Bloody Hell! I need to read this series. I keep seeing the covers and think they are awesome. It’s only a mini-series, this is third of five issues, so I might just wait for the trade paperback. Still, this series is looking fascinating.
Synopsis: Discover a whole new world of adventure! As her companion Nylese reaches the end of her journey while finally discovering the fabled city of her people, Ara's road ahead remains ever perilous. Throughout facing many dangers and threats in her challenging quest, how can she possibly survive Torinthal's powerful and deadly d'jinn, when it comes seeking her end?
Steed And Mrs Peel #9 - Boom Comics
Cover by Joe Corroney
Love this cover. Anything with Diana Rigg is going to get my attention.
Synopsis: The return of the monster! John Cartney thought his children were the key to finally finishing off John Steed and Emma Peel - but they failed. So, since blood didn't work, he's turning to cold, hard steel... Evil levels up as this all-new STEED & MRS. PEEL story begins!
Grimm Fairy Tales Presents Wonderland #12 - Zenescope
Cover by Mike Krome
Zenescope consistently gives you amazing covers and this one continues that trend. This is really brilliant work by Mike Krome. I need to add one of his covers to my collection.
Synopsis: Calie and Violet find themselves still on the run from Wonderland giving up any attempts at living a normal existence. They try to stay one step ahead of its reach but even as their life on the road continues, beings from the sinister realm spread their evil influence across the Midwestern land. Elsewhere a middle age traveling salesman obsessed with being the best of the best will find that in the world of Wonderland insanity is on sale and all roads lead to madness. And what dark secret does he hold that will give birth to an all new denizen of Wonderland? Find out here in this not to be missed issue!
Grimm Fairy Tales #86 - Zenescope
Cover by Mike Krome
Oh.my.god. This is a very powerful and dominate cover. Another Mike Krome masterpiece.
Synopsis: THE PHOENIX: Part One-While the world is still reeling from the events of Unleashed, Sela and the newly resurrected Belinda have made it their mission to help people in need. This leads them to Kiera, a beautiful Highborn with a fiery secret who has been living among humans for centuries. As Sela learns the story of the mythological Phoenix's rebirth, the truth about the plan the Dark One has been putting into motion for years comes to light.
There you go! My top 5 comic book covers of the week. Are you picking any up? If so, which ones? If any of you are reading Jirni, let me know what you think.
The countdown to San Diego Comic Con 2013 has begun and with about three weeks left I am scrambling to get my SDCC costumes together, LOL.
I think I’ll bring back my Julie Newmar Catwoman costume back out for one of the days. But the other ones....I don’t know! I have a few ideas of what I want to wear, but I’m going for four days, so I need 3 more costumes. Any suggestions?
To help you out, here is how do I come to my decisions; this is my thought pattern:
1.) I look at characters I like. I love strong women. Like Susan Storm.
2.) I like to look somewhat like the character...without the use of wigs.
3.) I don’t like masks. So, I don’t go for characters who wear them.
4.) I try not to go too obvious. I don’t mean this in a bad way at all, but Emma Frost is a staple on the cosplay scene; and while that was the first ever costume I wore I think I pretty much retired it from Cons. I want try to bring something a little different and have fun with it. Like you don’t see too many Electrawomans or Julie Newmar Catwomans at cons. Of course there are some, but not many.
There you go, now you know what goes through my mind. One that I was going to do was a female version of Flash Gordon. But that probably won’t happen at this point.
So what costumes do you want to see me in at SDCC? Post your ideas below or tweet me - @TanyaTate.
In the meantime, have a look at video of my from the last time I was at Comic Con.
Interview requests for me at San Diego Comic Con can be made to Alexander@MonstarPR.com

Hello Heroes and Game of Thrones fans!
Tomorrow I start my video reviews again after a little break and I’ll be looking at the Game of Thrones series of Funko POP! vinyl figures. I’ll be starting with one of my favorite characters Ned Stark. So be sure to check back in tomorrow!
Until then, how about we look at another of my Funko POP! vinyl figure reviews: Iron Man!
I’m back! I was away from the site for a couple of weeks due to moving. I think in the last 5 years I have moved four times and hopefully this one will be the last for the next decade or so, LOL.
One thing I have learned. I really need to try and cut back on collecting. ARGH! Even though I moved into a bigger house, I’m seeing how much my space my collectibles take up. So I might let some things go that I’m not as into as I once was.
Even worse is that I have started collecting statues. And THEY take up space. One of the latest additions that I have is the sideshow collectible Invisible Woman Susan Storm. It’s beautiful, but its so big!
Anyway, expect a review of it soon. Until then, there are my video reviews on Youtube like the Dr. Who one below!
