Recently I was interviewed for a real cool website, DcCollectors.com. This is the place to go to, if you are into DC Comics collectibles. It’s an awesome site that is consistently updated with loads of cool news. I was interviewed for the site about the My Hero Toys DIY vinyl figure campaign that I currently have running on Indiegogo. Oh my, LOL. That bikini was TINY! Fiesta Magazine in the UK wanted to do a superhero themed cosplay photo shoot with me. Awhile ago one of my fans sent me a Wonder Woman bikini and I really had not had a chance to wear it much, so I thought what better occasion than this? So, want to see some of the results?
I have some exciting news, especially for you who are looking to expand your brand, be it in cosplay, comics, or anything geeky really. If you didn’t know already I am a publicist, in addition to my “other” day job. I help talent market themselves and support their public relations campaigns. I have been on panels before at San Diego Comic Con and Wondercon discussing marketing techniques. Now that convention season is coming up again, I thought I would compile some tips when it comes to marketing on a beginners level.

Cosplay Personality And July FHM Cover Model Tanya Tate™ Debuts Comic Book Creation At San Diego Comic Con!
A panel, party and signing appearance are all part of a whirlwind Comic Con for the prolific cosplayer.
For Immediate Release: July 16th, 2013
(Hollywood, CA) Popular Cosplay personality Tanya Tate (http://www.justalottatanya.com) heads into San Diego Comic Con at full throttle with several scheduled events. Tanya has made her mark in geekdom with her fun and sexy superhero costumes that she has taken to wearing at many pop-culture events. That love of cosplay evolved into the JustaLottaTanya.com blog, which feature Tanya's video reviews and event coverage. Now the British beauty reveals her plans for San Diego Comic Con 2013 that include the unveiling of her new comic book character, Lady Titan, at the July 18th - 21st event.
Created by Tanya, Lady Titan is a planned comic book series that will have it’s roots based in the mythology of live-action superhero television. In Lady Titan, an out of work actress obtains a costume of a 70’s television superhero that enables her to perform great feats. Mastering those abilities proves to be elusive but that does not stop an emerging horde of villains from causing mayhem and coming after her. Before Lady Titan can hope to save the world from an impending threat, she’ll first have to try and save herself!
“Lady Titan is a character that will be played straight but will also have fun with the conventional idioms of superheroes,” said Tanya. “The character herself is not a ‘Superhero’ but someone thrust into that role; partially because of her sense of what’s right, but also her own survival. I think readers will have fun with Lady Titan.”
While at Comic Con, Tanya will be signing limited edition Lady Titan posters at the Geekscape.net booth. Fans who visit booth #3919 have the opportunity to acquire an exclusive 11x17 poster of Tanya’s creation. With art by Mikel Harvey and coloring by Simon Gough, Lady Titan is posed and ready for battle. “The artwork is incredible. The lads really captured the spirit of what I want to convey with my character,” noted Tanya. “Geekscape is awesome. It’s the hub of pop-culture and I’m very thrilled to be signing at their booth.”
To kick off her Comic Con weekend, Tanya will be taking part of a panel Thursday morning, July 18th. At 10:30am in room 8, everyone is invited to join Tanya as she represents FirstComicsNews.com and a mixture of industry experts for the “How to Get News Coverage (for Small Press)” panel. Tanya will discuss tactics in which small press publishers can attain media attention, as well as what media outlets look for in creating news pieces. Further information on the panel can be found here: http://sched.co/1246IaB
Thursday night Tanya will be hosting Hot Sexy Cosplay Live: An Erotic Costume Ball presented by Go Freak Media. On July 18, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Comic Con attendees are encouraged to slip into their sexiest superhero costumes and kick off the geek-tastic weekend in rockstar style. The party takes place at The Double Deuce located at 528 F Street in the San Diego Gaslamp district. Tickets for the Tanya Tate hosted Hot Sexy Cosplay Live: An Erotic Costume Ball can be purchased via http://hotsexycosplay.eventbrite.com.
Those who can’t make to San Diego Comic Con can check for Tanya at their international newsstands as the Liverpudlian is currently featured on cover of the Turkish FHM magazine.
